With over 38 years of experience, including six years full-time, I bring a lifetime of dedication to helping children excel academically. My journey began when I started tutoring my son, who showed an extraordinary talent for foreign languages. With two years of focused tutoring, he advanced two grades, and soon, other parents and teachers took notice. What began as a passion has now become my full-time calling.
After retiring from my role as Director of Food and Beverage at the San Diego Convention Center in 2018, I turned my full attention to tutoring. This work has been more than just a job—it’s a labor of love, allowing me to guide children to success through personalized learning and open communication.
I believe every child who is willing to work hard deserves the chance to achieve academic excellence. That’s why I strive to keep my prices affordable for all families. Additionally, a portion of my tutoring proceeds goes toward supporting children in foster care or with an incarcerated parent, ensuring that more young learners have access to the help they need.
Whether your child needs to catch up, get ahead, or gain confidence in their abilities, I’m here to provide the support and guidance to make it happen. Let’s work together to unlock your child’s full potential!.
"Michael has been tutoring both of my children for several years, and the results have been outstanding. He is exceptionally patient, communicates clearly, and engages them in a way that motivates their participation. Remarkably, they look forward to their sessions with him. Both are now honor roll students, and I attribute much of their success to Michael’s guidance."
Lynn Taylor – Crown Point, IN"When my son was struggling with Algebra and Geometry, we were fortunate to find Michael through a recommendation. He made the entire tutoring process seamless and stress-free. Over the course of several months, my son's grades improved significantly. I genuinely believe that without Michael’s expertise, my son might not have graduated. His support was invaluable."
Kathleen Middleton – Dyer, IN"Mr. Michael has been a tremendous asset in tutoring my grandson. We initially believed my grandson's struggles were due to a lack of attention and poor grades, but Michael’s keen observation led him to suspect a learning disability. Thanks to his referral, we were able to seek the appropriate help, and my grandson is now on the right track academically. We continue to work with Michael, and the progress has been remarkable."
